Children’s Ministries
The goal of this ministry is to draw kids closer to God and to one another. There are several ways that YOUR kids can be involved.
Sunday School
Usually taught by our Bering mommies, daddies, or grandparents, we provide a safe and positive environment for our children. We have classes for Preschool and Elementary age children, as well as a nursery for babies and children under age two.
Lindsay Marolf leads this ministry. She will help you understand the roles that are available and teaching opportunities that fit your schedule and talents.
Vacation Bible School
We have a VBS every summer. Each year has a unique theme that allows kids to explore, create, build relationships, and learn practical applications about God. Vacation Bible School is free for all children.
Bering Children’s Library
Bering Drive’s children have their own special library, a colorful room filled with delightful books on reading levels from preschool through junior high. Children will find Bible stories retold through children’s eyes, character-building stories, biographies and historical fiction, along with mysteries and adventure for older readers. Books are available for self-checkout for a two week period.
Each summer, our Bering Children’s Library offers a themed summer reading program from June through August. We award prizes and certificates for reading completion in early September.
Some of the duties involved in our Children’s Library Ministry include purchasing books, processing checkout cards, re-shelving returned books, and assisting children in selecting their books. Any Bering members who love good books and children are welcome to be a part of this ministry. For more information, contact the Children’s Library ministry leader, Penni Goode.
